Wow, it has been a long time not posthing anything to my blog, sorry dear. I had a realllly supeeeeerrr very busy and hard weeks. I had an elective practical in HKL for 3 weeks . I had a lot of tasks, and I can say that those tasks are the hard one. So, it was such a really heavy for me to do some browsing thing. But that's okay. Because tomorrow will be my last day doing practical. And I know for the next hell 2 weeks also, I still cannot online frequently because of some sort of reasons. Huhu. I'm not in the mood of writing anything actually. Just want to update my blog. So, my conclusion is HKL is the best place to learn. (Emergency Department to be exact). There are lots of cases everyday. Rarely seen in any hospital. The doctors and staffs there are also nice as they are willing to teach us. And of course as long as you have the spirit and enthusiasm to learn, there shouldn't be any problems right?
Something valuable I've learned is adapting myself with the Malaysia's systems. How they divide the works for doctors and nurses. Also got chance to clerk patient and present my cases to HO/MO. Doing simple procedures like taking temp, BP, CBD, IVD, IM, IV injections, ECG, enema, CPR, auscultation of lung, heart with various pathological processes, palpation ,percussion . The doctors taught us about how to read ECG, X-ray, US scan, ECHO, Angiography, MRI, etc. CME, morning round, doctor's round (usually around 3.30 pm). And lots more which is fun I would say!
